    • How to measure for awnings correctly?

    Width

    Measure the total width including side holders. The fabric is always narrower than the awning width.

    Projection

    Measure the projection from the top end of the back side of the box to the front end of the extending profile. When manual or motorized control is used, the projection must be at least 570 mm less than the entered width. The default inclination of an extended awning is set to 10°. You can change this setting following the technical manual to up to 35° if needed.

    Simple and timeless design

    The Dakota awning will delight you not only with its appearance but also with its functionality. When retracted, only a beautifully shaped cassette is visible on the house facade, which protects the fabric and the awning structure from damage due to wind or rainfall. When extended, you will certainly enjoy the size of the shaded area thanks to the extension of up to 3,5 meters. With these properties, the awning is perfect for your terrace, swimming pool area, or restaurat outdoor seating.

    Protects you from mild rainfall

    The awning's main function, of course, is protection from the sun. However, if you're in the middle of a barbecue party and a sudden rain shower takes you by surprise, the awning can provide a cover from that as well. It's thanks to the Dickson fabrics which come with a special surface treatment. This treatment ensures the fabric is water and mold-resistant and its colours don't fade easily.

    In order to prevent damage to the awning caused by weather conditions, we strongly recommend purchasing a wind sensor. It's a great add-on that retracts your awning automatically when a strong wind picks up.

    Convenient operating from your deckchair

    Like with other awnings from our range, you can choose from several control types with Dakota design as well. The most economic control type is manual control with a crank. If you'd like to operate your awning remotely for example from your deckchair in your pool area, we offer a motorized awning with remote control. In addition to that, if you choose the io drive option, it will allow you to connect the awning with various smart home systems.

    The measuring and the installation of the Dakota awning itself are among the activities you can easily manage yourself. With our useful assembly guides and video manuals, you can do everything in no time when it suits you without paying an outside contractor.
