Duo fabric roller shades – day-and-night roller shades

These duo fabric roller shades (Verra) are beautiful free-hanging fabric roller shades with day and night fabrics. They are literally a hit in window coverings. What are they and how do they work?

The roller shade ensures continuous regulation of light in the interior by alternating opaque and sheer fabric stripes arranged in two successive layers. With these roller shades, it’s possible to ensure that little or no sunlight gets through. The day-and-night roller shades are controlled with a bead cord.

You may choose among the following duo fabric shades:

Duo fabric roller shade with plastic brackets and chain – with a tube 28 or 42 mm in diameter
Duo fabric roller shade with metal brackets and chain – with a tube 28 or 42 mm in diameter

We offer special fabrics for our day-and-night roller shades:

Corfu – maximum width of 2,450 mm, fabric thickness of 0.33 mm
Cyprus – maximum width of 2,750 mm, fabric thickness of 0.55 mm
Zakynthos – maximum width of 2,500 mm, fabric thickness of 0.31 mm
Fiji – maximum width of 2,750 mm, fabric thickness of 0.3 mm
Parga – maximum width of 2,800 mm, fabric thickness of 0.19 mm
Rhodos – maximum width of 2,450 mm, fabric thickness of 0.25 mm

The guaranteed maximum area is stated for each duo roller – the area for 28-mm tubes is 3.6 m²and the area 42-mm tubes is 5.5 m².

What dimensions should I provide?

In the order form, you should specify the overall height and width, including the top profile (tube + bracket), not the fabric width.

What is the difference between the overall width of the blind and the width of the fabric itself?

The overall width of the blind is the dimension you provide in the configurator. The fabric width is approximately 4 cm smaller (about 2 cm on each side of the blind).

What are the dimensions of the mounting bracket?

The dimensions for fabric blinds (plastic and metal) are as follows: Depth = 5.5 cm, Height = 4.5 cm, Width at the control end = 2 cm, Width = 1 cm.

What is the length of the control chain?

The standard length of the control chain is 2/3 of the height of the blind. If you prefer a longer control chain, please make sure to write the desired length (in mm) in the product note.

If I install the blind on the window frame, will it limit the window opening?

It may limit the window opening, depending on the space between the frame and the window sill. This is particularly problematic for balcony doors. In such cases, we recommend installing the blind above the window opening, on the wall.

For which type of windows is the drill-free blind suitable?

The drill-free fabric blind can be mounted on most plastic and wooden windows. The bracket is adjustable and fits the majority of window profiles. If you have aluminum or casement windows, we recommend choosing the plastic fabric blind with wall or frame mounting.

Will there be drafts in the areas where the drill-free bracket is installed between the frame and the window?

Most windows have rubber seals that adapt to the shape of the bracket and wrap around it, so you don't have to worry about damaging the frames or seals.

How much will the day and night blind shade the room?

The day and night fabric blind is not intended for complete blackout but rather for shading the room. If you require complete blackout, choose a fabric blind with fully blackout material. However, the day and night blind provides privacy and pleasant shading.
