product description

Exterior awnings protect from hot sun and rain

If you're looking for the perfect solution for sun protection while also adding an aesthetically pleasing element to your terrace, you've found it - the awning is just for you. These fantastic shading elements are not only practical but also elegant additions.

What is an awning?

Awnings are shading systems designed to protect against sunlight. They are made from quality materials that withstand weather conditions while providing ample shade. Due to their flexibility, awnings can be used on family home terraces, gardens, balconies for privacy, as well as in restaurant gardens and other places.

Types of Awnings

Awnings without a supporting profile

These are the most cost-effective solution. They are recommended primarily for shading smaller areas and less frequent use. Due to their construction, they are less resistant to weather conditions. It's important to monitor them more closely and retract them in adverse weather to prevent damage.

Awnings with a supporting profile

Awnings with a supporting profile have a solid structure that offers greater stability and wind resistance. This type of awning is ideal for larger terraces as well. In our selection, you'll find the Stela awning, which can be supplemented with a semi-cassette for better fabric protection when retracted.

Cassette Awnings

Cassette awnings are at the forefront in terms of design and durability. They are designed to protect the fabric within the cassette from weather influences, thus extending their lifespan. The cassette also adds a luxurious appearance to the entire structure.

Awning Controls

Manual control with a crank handle is a traditional method. By simply turning the crank, you can easily extend or retract the awning. Motorized control is a modern and convenient way. Just press a button and let the awning extend or retract as needed.

Caring for Your Awning

To keep your awning in perfect condition, regular maintenance is recommended. If stains or dirt appear on the awning, it's best to remove them as soon as possible. A gentle soapy solution and a soft sponge can be used to clean the awning fabric.

question

  • Do you supply awnings including anchoring materials?

Anchoring material is not included with the awning. This is because each awning is anchored to different masonry (material). Customers are responsible for providing their own anchoring materials.

How should I enter the dimensions of the awning?

For the width, you should enter the actual width of the awning you desire. If you are installing the awning within an opening, enter the width of the opening. Specify the projection according to your preferences, but be cautious of limitations! The projection must be smaller than the width of the awning.

Are the awning fabrics resistant to dirt?

Fabrics from the DICKSON collection, which are used for manufacturing awnings, are treated with impregnation. The surface treatment CLEANGARD protects the fabric against water, dirt, and mold.

Is manual or motorized control better?

For smaller awning sizes and occasional use, manual control with a crank handle can be chosen. For larger awning sizes, we recommend a switch or remote-controlled motor, which ensures convenient control with just the press of a button.

Can the awning protect against rain?

The awning primarily protects against sunlight. While the impregnation provides some water protection, we do not recommend using the awning in heavy rain. Intense rain could potentially disrupt the fabric's structure and shorten its lifespan.
