product description

Elegant window coverings for attics and skylights

We’re dispelling the myth that attics are unbearable during hot summer days. Our roller shades, blinds, and plissé blinds for skylights prevent overheating of attic spaces so you’ll finally be able to work, sleep, or perhaps play with your children there.

In addition, you can choose whether to opt for blinds operated with a bead cord or a wand with a cord. Roller shades with patterns or in a single colour. Blackout or light-filtering. With a control wand (perfect for hard-to-reach windows) or without the wand. Or an optional plissé with a fixed upper cassette, with a sliding head and base rails, or a duo fabric covering. It’s up to you. Just define the covering for your skylights and we’ll make it for you. Made to measure and just for you. Hesitating over what window coverings you should choose for your attics and skylights? Get some advice in our guide.

The prices of skylight coverings from Isotra are very reasonable. They have invested a lot of energy into developing skylight coverings and so can make coverings for Velux, Roto, Fakro, and other skylight producers for reasonable prices today.

We offer four types of skylight coverings:

  1. R-lite fabric roller shades – suitable for all types of skylights (you only have to let us know the manufacturer). The high-quality finish with aluminium guide rails ensures that almost no light gets through when you choose a suitable fabric. You can choose from single-colour, blackout, or light-filtering fabrics. We offer some fabrics with a flame-retardant finish. R-lite blinds are controlled by default by pulling the base rail. For harder-to-reach locations, we recommend choosing a control wand (0.5–2 metres long) or using a telescopic wand with a hinge and hook (2 metres long). R-lite roller shades are mounted directly into the skylight sash. The guaranteed maximum area is 1.5 m2. We offer the following fabrics: 100% PES, 100% PES Satin, 100% Trevira CS, Glass fibre – PVC.
  2. V-lite horizontal blinds – interior blinds made for all types of skylights. The aluminium guide rails combined with a matching slat colour ensures continuous regulation of light. If your window is located higher up, you can use a control wand (0.5–2 metres long) or a telescopic wand with a hinge and hook (2 metres long) to control the blinds. The profiles and guide rails are made of aluminium with an anodized coating. V-lite horizontal blinds are mounted directly into the  skylight sash. The guaranteed maximum area is 1.5 m2.
  3. DFC plissé blinds – pleated fabric roller shades representing a modern window covering. With plissé blinds, you may choose from numerous fabrics that let through different amounts of sunlight so you can opt for the right plissé blind for your skylights. In addition, you can combine fabrics for plissé blinds, so you get the chance to choose one fabric as a curtain for the day and a blackout fabric for undisturbed sleep overnight. It’s up to you to make your pick. Plissé blinds are suitable for any type of skylight. There are three colour options for profiles and other components. Plissé blinds are controlled by means of the bottom bar or a wand (1.5 m) may be selected for hard-to-reach windows. We offer pleated fabrics made of 100% PES .
  4. Screen SKY – skylight roller blinds for exterior covering – for details, see Screen roller blinds.

question

  • Can I order blinds for a non-standard roof window from you?

Even if your roof window is from an unknown manufacturer or lacks labeling, it is still possible to order blinds. You can find measurement instructions for the product.

What should I do if the blind doesn't hold in individual positions?

Fasten the cord in the plastic plugs of the guiding rails. The cord is secured in the reel with a worm gear.

    Which fabric should I choose?

For bedrooms or rooms where you sleep, choose fabrics from the "Completely Blackout" category. For rooms where you spend time during the day, choose fabric that allows some light to pass through. Consider the color of the fabric in relation to the colors in the room.

What is the difference between manual control and control with a rod?

Choose manual control when the windows are within reach of your hands. Choose control with a rod based on the height of the windows, especially if they are less accessible.
