What is plissé?

Plissé, also known as a pleated blind, is a folding fabric roller blind consisting of 2 or 3 sliding rails between which the fabric folds like a concertina. Inside the fabric, there are thin guide strings that stretch out the material. Pleated blinds are a great modern alternative to horizontal blinds and roller blinds- their fabrics provide different levels of shading in a truly unique way.

You'll find more than 60 fabrics and patterns in our catalogue. Each fabric has different light transparency. More transparent fabrics may be a good substitution for net curtains. On the other hand, when their transparency's approaching 0%, they provide more darkness. So it's entirely up to the customer, where they want to place their plissé and how much shading they need.

Sometimes it pays off to get a dual fabric plissé. You get the best of both worlds between total blackout of curtains and transparency of net curtains. One fabric for the day time transparent enough to provide plenty of natural light and one fabric for a blackout environment to ensure a good night's sleep.

How to control plissé?

Operating pleated blinds is very simple- you do that by sliding its rails up or down.

In our configurator you can choose from these options: single fabric plissé with sliding just the bottom rail. The dual fabric version then comes with sliding both the bottom rail and middle rail. Colour of these rails is optional and can be adjusted to the colour of your windows or furniture.

Drill free installation

If you can't or don't want to drill into your window frame, don't worry. We offer plissé versions attachable without drilling. All you need to do is to hang the holding brackets on an opened window frame and then hook the pleated blind onto those. The other types of pleated blinds can be mounted on either the inner or outer side of the window frame.
